ABSTRACT:
The Internet of Things (IoT) aims to create a virtual platform for intelligent interactions among physical devices, vehicles, home appliances (smart homes), and other objects embedded with sensors and actuators that communicate via internet protocols (IP). In addition to RFID sensors, a radar-based sensor for IoT applications has been introduced. This emerging technology not only supplies information to the IoT system but also enhances security by detecting potential stealth threats to the smart environment. This paper investigates the feasibility of incorporating radar systems as sensor devices, contributing to the successful deployment of IoT systems. Additionally, it reviews various IoT architectures, with a focus on the sensor layer, as presented by different researchers.
